Scott had been sitting in front of a computer every working day for more than twenty-five years, so when he was offered the opportunity to become a full-time Apiarist it was not a difficult decision to make and he’s never looked back!

Scott already had a passion for all things bees, but as a requirement of his new role he’s now also completing a Certificate III in Beekeeping.

Apiarists work long days… working from sun-up to sun-down and late into the night when transporting the hives to a new location. They drive hundreds (sometimes thousands) of kilometres chasing the seasonal pollens… and they can be away from home for up to six months of the year!!

And then, when Scott finally gets home from “the office”… he has to look after his own 40 something hives!
